I’m going to post a list of software that I’ve installed and tested with my aforementioned desktop. I’d love to get feedback from people on software they’ve tried to use, and I’d like to hear about their success or failures. I’m going to keep updating this list as I get more apps to run. Please note that the links in this post will open in a new browser window. Also note that I have not thoroughly tested these apps, but I have installed and run them a little bit. As I run into problems, I’ll update it here as well.

pWell, here I am again, I must be in a writing mood! I’m still in Windows Seven and I’ve played a bit with some neat features like Private Browsing mode, the new Windows Messenger, Sticky Notes, the visual and functional upgrades to Paint and WordPad, and now what I think might be REALLY nifty, Windows Live Writer. Blogging software built in to Seven?

Ok, so it’s been a couple weeks… I’ve been running Seven (That’s Microsoft Windows Seven Beta 1 for those of you just tuning in) and my impression is still “Holy Crap”. Seven has been running on my Netbook, a prerelease MSI Wind (Thank you everyone at MSI) and its been butter smooth. From a pure performance perspective the Wind is faster in Seven than even WinXP. I can’t back that up with hard numbers, but I figure that in coming days I’ll actually do some performance comparisons… But there’s more pressing matters to discuss… Read the rest of this entry »
